A very worthy sequel to the first book. I didn't like it quite as much, mainly because lots of challenging things happen to Morrigan Crow. Still, I want to read book 3. This series is the most like Harry Potter I've read yet. It's got all the right elements. Magical school, villainous villains, mysterious happenings, a (growing) group of friends all interesting characters.
