The Sun and the Star by Rick Riordan, Mark Oshiro
5.0
As I expected from my favorite author, Uncle Rick! I have a lot of thing to talk about but first of all, the book is really a heartwarming one, full of young love, and totally dedicated for someone who’s questioning themselves. About their sexuality. The best part when Nico said,
“The best thing I can say to you is that we are not only one thing forever. We’re allowed to change at any point in our lives. We don’t have to be stuck with a label someone else assigns us. Gods, we don’t even have to stick to a label we give ourselves. So, you can be bi or pan or a lesbian or queer, and tomorrow you may have a better sense of who you are, or tomorrow you can be a big ole queer mess and figure it out fifty years from now.”
If we talked about the conversation, it’s really fresh and radiate big youngsters energy! I love to see it. Especially when Nico throws some jokes and I could feel his happiness. He’s still dwelling in his own darkness but at least, he isn’t sad anymore. Thanks to Will the Sunshine.
Let’s move to the adventure! As always, it’s been thrilling and I’m enjoying the ride. There are some parts that I want to scream, cry, or even cheering. A totally rollercoaster emotions. Well description and meet my expectations as a reader.
Everyone should read this one at least once in their lifetime!
