Horse by Geraldine Brooks

This was 3.5⭐️ for me. I listened to the audiobook, and at first the multiple narrators with multiple timelines was a little confusing to follow. It got better as the book went on, but I think it would have been helpful if I followed along with the physical book.
The story is heartbreaking and takes place over many years (1850-2020), following an incredible racing horse in the 1800s, and then later, a painting of the horse and even the bones that are forgotten in a museum. It’s a really unique and interesting read, but just isn’t a genre that usually captures my attention as much. I’d absolutely recommend this book to anyone who loves historical fiction.
