Wow. I absolutely adored this book. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it had some steam, it had a cute and furry animal companion.
Honestly it just made me feel good to read about a single mom finding a man to share her life with that actually enhances it, and helps her get through all the little things that add up at the end of the day.
This is a fast paced, slow burn, comedic romance. So you end up flying through it because you literally can not force yourself to put it down. But there’s only a little bit of steam and it happens deep into the book.
Usually I’m all for books with tons of smut, the more the merrier, but with everything else this book had going for it, I just didn’t miss it. I think it had the perfect amount to make the story as good as it is. And the banter between characters is so fun to read.
I loved the plot, the pacing was absolutely perfect, the little bit of sexy times we get are hot and well written, and the ending is so satisfying. I honestly couldn’t ask for anything more in a book. Plus there was a ton of cameos from characters that star in other Pippa Grant books, so if you missed any of them no worries.
