This book is brilliant, the writing completely pulled me in. The world building is so vivid and explained it such an easy way and the concept behind the plot is what I found so interesting. The battle of light and dark, the setting for this world and the characters are written beautifully, the mental health rep is portrayed in a way that is thought provoking and handled with care.
Lacey’s character growth is outstanding and one of the best I’ve read, a woman who is struggling with who she has become and haunted by thoughts of her past, to this strong and determined woman. I loved the last few chapters as it truly showed how far she has come.
The last few chapters were action packed with an ending I wasn’t expecting at all, I’m looking forward to seeing what’s to come.
Such a wonderful debut novel which was beautifully written.
