It’s the last book of the series but sadly it didn’t wow me as much as books 1-3. In all honesty, this book had story arcs that would, in theory, make it the most exciting and compelling story. So many difficult and taboo topics. But it fell through.

For the most part the whole teacher/student thing made me a little uneasy and uncomfortable. They’re not too far of an age gap and everything between them was consensual and started way before he even became her professor (think Aria and Ezra from Pretty Little Liars) but idk it still gave me the ick 🙃

Anyway, I felt that the whole prof/student thing was conveniently finished and he never got any form of punishment for it? It was all very hush hush. Instead the two of them
broke up because he lied to her about his last name and who he is
which I felt was sure, a valid reason but it just felt like a tiny small thing out of a very big problem which is ultimately the inappropriate relationship. A large part of the relationship also stemmed from intense and (in most parts) crazy amounts of lust. It was hard to tell when lust became love.

It was hard to root for either of them, though I’m happy that Nera got her happy ever after. I’m still unsure about the MMC. Still gives me the big ick. 🙃🙃🙃
