I hesitated diving into this final book of the series because I knew it was going to be rough. Finally getting Alina’s story, her years in captivity enduring abuse after abuse. It’s not as extreme as I was expecting and I think the author does a great job of approaching the topic with mental health at the forefront.

This may not be my favorite in the series and it has nothing to do with the characters or even the story itself, I think I was just getting bored with all of the over and over love confessions. Like, yes, you’ve loved each other since y'all were kids…k.
