A good story but I had to keep stopping and translating the French and Arabic to understand a lot of what was being said.

That being said, this is an important story that can be difficult for people to read. Its a story about an immigrant single mother struggling to make a life for her and her son in Canada. I read this for Canada Reads and it's absolutely a book Canada needs to read and one that will shift perspective.
