An interesting, insightful and clearly-written history of evolutionist thinkers that has evidently been well-researched by the author. A thoroughly enjoyable book that has inspired me to read more of Stott's work. Highly recommended for those who enjoy history or biology, particularly for students of the life sciences who wish to read around their subject and broaden their knowledge of both Darwin and his predecessors.
