I wanted to love Beach Read so bad but I really hated it. I couldn’t be more happy that Emily Henry came through with a romance that I just knew was going to be a five stars from the prologue. Alex and Poppy just fit they were believable as best friends and even more believable as a couple. Usually when there’s two timelines in books I hate one timeline but flashing back to each vacation was just perfection. I learned so much about their friendship dynamic and how they spent twelve years not realizing/acting on their true feelings for each other. This romance just felt meant to be and hearing Alex call Poppy his home at the end brought tears to my eyes. This was just everything. ALEX AND POPPY ARE TWO IDIOTS IN LOVE WHAT MORE CAN I SAY!
