This book didn’t quite live up to my excitement, but I wasn’t massively disappointed either. I’m trying to reserve my judgment for when I be read the rest of the series, which I’m still really looking forward to doing.

There was definitely a YA feel to it and that dulled my enjoyment a smidge in some ways.

The world building and over all plot is pretty intriguing and I’m excited to see what other twists and turns it takes!
