Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann

dark mysterious sad fast-paced
Appreciated more than enjoyed. Greed is just such a violent disease. Being Indigenous in America feels like a never-ending upheaval sometimes. Reading this book conjured a whole lotta that, but I am grateful to have read this story still. A story that I think every American should know/be taught. It's a plight all of us as Indigenous people are connected to/by/and still fight.

The book in a technical sense is also a surprisingly accessible one, which for the amount of information was an understandably difficult task to simplify well. Commendable. However if you, like me, are not a true crime reader, I would still recommend jotting down the names of folks as you come across them because I definitely got a little confused in certain parts mid-way where there was a lot of interactions and recalling.
