This was a feel good and cosy contemporary / sports romance. It had a mix of Insta Love, slow burn and spice, palpable chemistry, and you could see their relationship blossom.
There were lots of sweet and swoony moments, which balanced nicely against the drama, trauma and tragic moments.
With a plus sized FMC a large focus of the story is body confidence, public perception, and acceptance, and I loved the positive messages and themes of redemption.
I also loved the interventions and support of the best friend characters and can't wait to read more about them in the next book.
