I forgot just how good this series is. But I still want a house elf
And I've forgotten so much, it's like a new read.
I 100% remembered the scene with Fawkes though. I love the Hogwarts ghosts-so much fun. Filch and Mrs. Norris just remind me of Gargomel.

I mean of course I knew with hindsight that Harry wouldn't die, but I knew that the first time through too as books 1-4 were out by the time I read Chamber. But I'm not sure I was so convinced that Hagrid and Dumbledore were good. So many good lines, especially Dumbledore about loyalty and choices, come from this one.
