The Scattered Bones by Nicole Scarano
4.0
It’s hard to believe a book can be this good.
The Scattered Bones surprised me in the most positive ways.
As a romantasy, it checks all the boxes of the genre: interesting world, otherworldly beings, forbidden romance, a tall-dark-and-beautiful man, an impossible quest, happy ending.
What this book has that others don’t is the author’s uncanny ability to transmit the message in a stand-alone book. No need to read 7 books to get to the end of the story. It is expertly planned so that each chapter tells you what you need to know. No waste.
I loved the glimpses we got of the gods. Their hateful nature but also their kindness. Sellah’s challenge, recovering the pieces of her husband kept me glued to the pages. She became so fierce, got me invested in her journey until the end.
Also, I would read a book about the gods’ stories. Each one had an amazing backstory. Please Nicole
