The Travelling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa

5.0

While I could have easily read this in one sitting, I'm happy I took my time with this one. This book imbued joy, wit, and heartbreak through such artful storytelling. Satoru and Nana offer compelling perspectives on how we move through and view the world - it's more of a challenge not to reflect while reading this story. It's a story that will stick with me for a long time.

I alternated reading this on my Kindle and as a physical book. Both were enjoyable, but I'm happy that have a physical copy of this book. I also perused the movie the day after and I think it was done well. Though I was sad that Yoshimine's section was cut down significantly, I get that it's hard to include everything in a movie.

Thanks to Erin for recommending this book :)
