Bitter Rivals by Loxley Savage, M.J. Marstens
4.0
“So much has been taken from me already in a world that tries to bend me to its will, but I refuse to give up.”
Bitterwood Prep isn’t a place where the weak survive - it’s the tomb where they go to die. Students are forced to endure one sick game after another in order to survive. But Remi is willing to do just about anything to come out on top, despite the constant underestimation. But when Cash, Ben & Professor Vaughn want her body, mind and soul, is Remi willing to give that up?
“How do you ever become human again when it’s been stripped from you?”
Bitter Rivals is Hunger Games meets dark academia with so many twists and turns! I love a good bully romance with a strong-willed heroine! This one was packed with so much action, poor students did not get a break. The authors weren’t kidding when they said this was a DARK romance, definitely not one to go in blind to! I liked this a lot and can’t wait to read the next one because that cliffhanger had me at the edge of my seat!
Note: check TW/CW! This is Book 1 of an ongoing series. This book contains a reverse harem relationship, violence & themes that are not suitable for everyone.
Thank you to M.J. Marstens, Loxley Savage and Peachy Keens for this ARC copy. This review was written honestly & voluntarily based on my own enjoyment of the book.
