A Natural History of Dragons by Marie Brennan
slow-paced
2.5
All in all, this is an excellently written and researched book. There really isn't anything I can fault the author for. The story however is just tedious. The main character at the start is extremely interesting and....dare I say, "plucky." But nothing ever *happens.*
While the premise of "Victorian aristocracy are interested in studying dragons from a scientific standpoint" is a great one...that's about it. I just summed up the entire storyline and don't think I left anything out. I don't even know how to spoil the book for you! Maybe it's a me problem but overall, I was so let down.
