Hunter's Blood by R. Sullins

Crispen & Ivy: Vampire & Hunter in Love!

Hunter's Blood is an amazing story of a newbie Hunter, Ivy and a Vampire King, Crispen. Ivy discovers that she is a Hunter after she is pursued by revenants, a form of vampire zombies that feed on humans without any regard to the ideal that vampires live and exist in secret. She's saved by Crispen and together, they train, fight, and eventually fall in love while ridding the world of these rogue vampire zombies.

There were certain parts of the book that appeared rushed, and some revelations achieved without any rhyme or reason behind the change. This would be my only complaint. I loved Crispen and Ivy and the way Crispen loved her. It just seemed to come out of nowhere. Crispen seemed to disregard her one minute and be madly in love with her the next. Further, Ivy seemed to accept her role as a Hunter with little question or convincing. For someone who was thrust into this life, she seems to have adapted well.

I ready LOVELY DARKNESS first. Had I known this book was out, I would have read it first. Still, it was nice to see Varek and Sasha. :) With the way Book one ended, I must go on to Book Two. This was a very good start from R. Sullins and I will definitely read more of her work.

Happy reading!
