the writing for this is amazing, the story itself is also amazing. that being said, there were so many details and blocks of text that it was very difficult to read this book because it felt so laborious to read it. i think this is probably better enjoyed as an audio book or as someone else reading it to you out loud like in the princess bride movie. i think the difficulty of reading was kind of subjective though since it was still a very good book. i am not sure if i will read the rest of the series because of this, even though i am totally invested in sparrowhawks adventures
