We Refuse: A Forceful History of Black Resistance by Kellie Carter Jackson

challenging dark emotional hopeful informative reflective fast-paced

4.5

"I see black joy as a remedy on the path to complete healing. If justice is the cure, joy is the cast"

i don't know that this book was for me, but i still learned a lot and feel a little more hopeful and a little more rebellious

(a few repeated paragraphs. that drives me crazy)
