Oh I really wanted to like this, so so bad. As a huge fan of The Road I semi knew what I was getting into. I knew it would be a hard read and it was.
A lot of bad shit going down, which is fair because bad shit was happening back then. It’s very visceral in its descriptions, which I really respect.
My big issue was just that there wasn’t much of a plot. Characters were just going around absolutely slaughtering people. I think if I cared more for The Kid it would have struck more of a cord.
