My 18th book finished in 2023.

This book suffered the same problem as The Time Traveller. It has fantastic world-building and incredibly interesting ideas, but the ending seemed rushed. I think Wells is a genius and it's so fascinating seeing the scientific ideas his late Victorian mind thought up. Definitely a classic for a reason, despite the musical having a more interesting narrative.
