Woahhhhhh. This book leans itself heavily into looking into religous trauma and how that can really affect people especially teenagers. I feel lucky enough to be a class of 22” reading a book about class of 22” honestly it kinda feels surreal. These characters drove their way into my heart which I definitely should have expected since Casey McQuiston has this sort of magic they dose in their books. Sometimes I was frustrated with characters actions but like that’s the whole point these characters are able to make mistakes and be human and that’s what makes them so lovable(also bonus points for this book having such a range of diversity of LGBTQ people).
