Every single page of this book will grip you, whether with romance, intrigue, or suspense. Be prepared to feel all of the emotions. I swear if there is some way to make e-books addictive, Evie Marceau has figured out how to. You will not want to put this book down - dinner and kids be damned! Kisses are stolen, secrets are revealed, pasts discovered. Evie Marceau's world-building is beautiful and captivating. Imagery drips off every single page, sucking you deeper and deeper into the story. I loved Basten and Sabine in Book 1 and didn't think I could come to love them more than I did, but guess what? I did! Basten is broody, sexy, and tortured. Sabine is smart, fierce, and feisty. Be prepared for the cliffhanger plot twist at the end that you won't see coming (except for now I've told you, but seriously, you WON'T expect it.) The only thing I don't like is that we now have to wait forced Book 3! I suppose it's a form of pleasant torture? In the meantime, I may have to go back and re-read the first two books because they were that good! Do yourself a favor and pick this book up ASAP! Or, if you haven't read Book 1, scoot on over and grab that one first!
