I am the scarediest of scaredy cats… This? Wasn’t scary. Creepy? Absolutely. Disorienting? For sure. But i’m genuinely confused by so many reviews calling this horror… It’s making me question my understanding of the genre.

All that said? Loved it. The only things that kept it from being 5 stars are that NK Jemison’s Emergency Skin landed more solidly for me and also because I read something similar to The Last Conversation earlier this year that I think did this more effectively. Not naming the title though cause the twist is the same and I don’t want to spoil either book…
