Quick Take Review (TL;DR):
"The One" is a gripping, twist-filled ride told through a variety of engaging perspectives from around the globe. While the stories didn't link together as much as I'd hoped, it's still a well-plotted, jaw-dropping read worth picking up!
Full Review:
"The One" by John Marrs is a gripping read—jaw-dropping, engaging, and fully packed with twists that kept me hooked throughout. The story spans multiple perspectives and characters from across the globe, each bringing something unique to the table.
The plot was well-constructed, and most of the characters were fairly likable, which made for an enjoyable experience. My only gripe was that the various perspectives didn't connect as much as I'd hoped; instead of intertwining stories, it felt more like five separate narratives in one book. Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it for its originality and surprises.
