Love in the Time of Serial Killers by Alicia Thompson
2.0
2/2.5
Main character was very insufferable at times. (Why was the word “emphatically” used so much?) I hated the miscommunication and the constant back and forth about nothing. There was never any real conflict and the “issues” just seemed juvenile for characters in their early thirties/late twenties. Disappointed because the story started off strong but then dragged. I didn’t feel any connection/chemistry between Phoebe and Sam at ALL. The sex scenes were dull.
I did enjoy the different serial killer references throughout the book though.
