Last Call at the Hotel Imperial: The Reporters Who Took on a World at War by Deborah Cohen
5.0
Very enjoyable. Whirlwind tales from several significant American journalists from about 1920 through the end of the Second World War. They had relationships with key world leaders and described the fraught international relations of the period. They looked at the rise of Franco Hitler Mussolini and Stalin and their struggle with the British role in Europe India and elsewhere. Plus the rise of Zionism and conflict with Palestinians. Tapping personal and collected archives the author gives a deep dive look at an important sweep of world history.
