This warm and hilarious book had me squealing with excitement and romantic intrigue, cry-laughing and just straight up crying. These complex characters mean so much to me and reading their story filled me with so much joy. I can't wait to read more of Beth O'Leary's novels (and to read this one again!)!

I didn't expect this book to teach me so much about myself, particularly about a past relationship that turned sour. I urge anyone who has been a victim of gaslighting to read this book if you're comfortable doing so.

This book will stick with me for a long time and I'm grateful to the author for bringing this horrible thing to more victim's attention, through the lens of a strong female character.
