This book presents itself as as possible variations of The Odyssey from when the story was a work of oral tradition before it was written down into the form we know. However, it seems that the author doesn’t know much about Mycenaean-Archaic Age Greek history/culture or doesn’t care as several of these stories draw from completely different mythologies and cultures with the names of characters from the Epic Cycle copy pasted in. It’s an entertaining read; I just think the title, preface, and description completely misrepresent what this book actually is.
