Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman

5.0

Sequels to books try to go too big at once, and end up dwarfing the scale, pace, tone of the previous book. They end up jumping instead of taking a step forward. This book does a phenomenal job of taking a step forward, and even more importantly, taking a step in the right direction. It feels like a direct sequel, instead of a spin-off. And the way that the ethics, morality, and philosophy are talked about in the first book, are continued in this one. Making intriguing conversation and thoughts for the characters, and for the reader alike.
