I didn't actually enjoy this book--it was too long, and I think it was directed at a different audience. But reading it made me like Rick Steves personally so much more than I did before I read it. I'd seen his show and appreciated it, but the fact that he wrote this book and was so brave about outlining all his thoughts about all these different countries and his philosophy of travel makes me appreciate him, and he just seems like a really good person trying to do his best exactly where he is.
