decently written, though the poetry made me cringe and was not at all believable from a main character who's a whole literature professor. the setting was beautiful.

unfortunately, depite its short length, the plot was kind of boring and the characters weren't at all compelling. I have a thing for obsession in romance and am just getting into horror, so I really wanted to like this, but it was a bit too predictable, and my lack of respect for either character (and no compelling internal conflict within them) made me struggle past the halfway point. overall, it was just pretty mid.
