Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
5.0
9.5/10
Time to Read:~5 hours in one sitting
New Words Learnt?:yaoi
Triggers:
I really like how this book showed how sucky and homophobic society can be sometimes however overall I felt like it was a happy story that shows how love is love - no matter who it is between. Simon is such a fun and lovely character and I thoroughly enjoyed following him through his journey to find love. I also enjoyed the mystery element as we try and piece together who the mysterious Blue is. I think the only piece of feedforward I have for this book is that I found some character description lacking and occasionally found it difficult to picture the faces Simon’s friends.
Recommends to:Romance lovers, people who need to read more LGBTQIA+ books more, if you're interested in mystery identities, I you yourself are part of the LGBTQIA+ community and need someone to relate to or show you courage, honestly I think everyone should read this
