Emma Smith's story is far more complex - and interesting - than the typical Mormon Sunday school lesson would lead you to believe. This book gave me a deeper appreciation for all that she went through - and helped me understand that Mormon narratives about Emma are deeply flawed. I'm appreciative of how fascinating and clear this book was.
