There's nothing that feels more rewarding than when the book you picked to lift your mood does exactly that!
I have had Trial of The Sun Queen on my TBR for almost 2 years and I picked it up at the right time.
Not only is the final book out in about a week, it delivered what I knew it would!
No, it's not a 5 🌟 read, but it's a well-written read book that executed the plot right and delivered lots of fun and excitement. There wasn't a moment where I was bored!
Of course, there were aspects of the book that could have been better, but the pros outweigh the cons by a mile!

The other characters were also a lovely addition, though I hope to see more of them.
The plot, world-building and magic system aren't unique or anything I haven't read before but they were executed wonderfully and it's very creative. You could tell it was inspired by the hunger games but reimagined.
If there's one phrase to sum this book up, it would be; The bachelor meets The Hunger Games!
