I’m not usually a poetry reader, but I’ve always loved and marveled at Taylor Swift’s lyrical prowess, so I knew poems responding to her songs would be something I’d absolutely have to check out. Reader - this book did not disappoint.
Invisible Strings is a beautiful anthology of poems inspired by, and in conversation with, Taylor Swift's own gorgeous lyrics. Thought-provoking and overflowing with a range of emotions, I highly recommend this collection to fans of Taylor, but also to those who simply love poetry. Additionally, if you’re someone who appreciates a good puzzle, I think you’ll enjoy trying to match each poem with its song!
Thank you to Random House, Ballantine Books, and NetGalley for the digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.
