When I first started this book and saw that it was in alternating chapters of Remy and Amber, I wasn’t sure what to think about this, since the first two books were just from Amber’s perspective (until the very end of Unrest, of course). I can see why adding Remy’s perspective was necessary, considering they are now separated.

Surprisingly, I actually found Remy’s chapters even more interesting than Amber’s. I mean, she was in the enemy base, interacting with the Baelese! I very much enjoyed her chapters after all. Reading about life inside the enemy base, for both humans and the Baelese, was intense.

I, of course, enjoyed Amber’s chapters as well, but I think Remy’s were my favourite.

Wendy, you almost killed me at the end there! How dare you do that! Omg – that’s all I will say.

Everything about this book was just so good, just as the first two were. I love Wendy Higgins. I love her books. I love this series as individual books and as a whole. I re-read Unknown and Unrest in anticipation of this final book and I fell in love with them all over again. Highly recommend this series and this author to anyone who appreciates a good story!
