I wanted to not only read but love N.K.Jemisin's books. Unfortunately, I never got a chance to read any of her works, which is why I was very excited to read this. As much as I love the sentiments behind it, the plot felt juvenile. There were a lot of great messages she wanted to convey but they were all done in a very social-media manner.
The premise, overall, is brilliant.
