Girl on Fire by Jeremy Whitley

TW: hateful comments about appearances, kidnapping
I truly did not enjoy reading this - not a single one of the characters was likeable, the execution of the school setting was lackluster and the tension felt incredibly forced. Our main character gave us no real reason to be on her side, as her outbursts and moments of hurt did not even feel befitting of a teenage girl, but rather just a poorly written character. While I enjoyed the art, to an extent, I have absolutely no interest in continuing to read this story to find out what happens to the characters. It was lukewarm enough that I at least finished it, but man, was it bland.
