How do I rate this book without giving it away? :/ Anyway, definitely a 5-star read.
Brooklyn endured a very tumultuous life from beginning to end. Very overlooked an misunderstood , yet also blamed for her results.
This book was very emotional and at times difficult to read but such an amazing storyline. Definitely shed light onto the statistical "hood" storylines we often see for Black young girls and Black families raised in churches.
My thoughts are all over the place rn- but I think I just enjoyed how RAW and REAL this book was.
There are some trigger warning enclosed, as well.
