The Princess Diarist by Carrie Fisher
5.0
“Iʼm Leia—I can live in a tree, but you canʼt take that away from me.”
This witty, laughable book gives us an insight on Carrieʼs nostalgic young life and her early Star Wars days. It is interesting to see the way young Carrie journal because some of it written in riddles and poems and some are written down like you poured your heart out after a long day of working.
Seeing as it was Carrieʼs teenage-self writing it down, I find myself relating to some of her writings as I am a teenager myself. I love how serious this book is because itʼs telling the story of someoneʼs personal life but Carrie made it witty and laughable and I did just that. With her fame skyrocketing back then. It was crazy what goes through her mind but also expected.
Overall this is such a good book, I would love to read more of Carrieʼs memoirs or any memoirs in that matter (because I donʼt read a lot of biographies or memoirs so I thought Iʼd read more).
Definitely deserve a 5-star rating.
Carrie On Forever! ❤️
