There’s a lot going on in this book - sidebars that do contribute to the worldbuilding and we’re somewhat important to keep track of. It was a bit too much for me, and so I think I may have missed some connections. The pacing is also a bit uneven, with the first half being slow and difficult for me to get through. But it’s beautifully written and the story is interesting.
