Enchained: The Omega and the Fighter by Claire Cullen
4.0
Book safety, content warnings, and tropes down below.
Beau was struggling to hold on to himself. Without Griffin, the tentative grasp he had on his sense of self began to slip.
I enjoyed this more than I expected, because I totally judge every book by its cover. The concept felt original and it was a lot of fun, which is weird to say about a story that is very sad. It tugged on my heart a few times, and I would recommend taking a gander at the content warnings. A couple of them you won’t see much in MM romance.
Beau was an absolute sweetheart. He was protective of his omega, but was also more than happy to let Griffin stay in charge of the pack and their life. He was very cuddly and got attached fast. It was just very sweet.
Griffin is a badass omega with a big chip on his shoulder. Always being treated like ‘less’ and submissive just because of his designation definitely resulted in him struggling with being vulnerable, so they had some learning to do together to make their relationship work well.

Genuinely entertaining and sweet with some sad stuff thrown in. The action and suspenseful moments were kinda glossed over which was a shame, as those are usually my favorite parts. And although it wasn’t too terrible and I understood most if it through context, it would definitely be better to read book 1 first as there is some past happenings and seemingly some overarching plot that I felt like I was missing.
A hand touched his back, Griffin’s voice surrounding him again. Beau turned, seeking out the omega, the one person in all the world who grounded him, who made living bearable. Launching himself forward, he held onto him with everything he had.

How did you separate the man from the beast when the two became so intertwined, so locked together, that they seemed to be one animal, one tormented creature?
“That’s it,” Griffin encouraged. “It’s okay now. It’ll be okay, I promise.” He had no idea what he was promising. Safety? A home? A life? Beau needed so much, and Griffin could only hope he had enough to give.
Things got better at such a slow pace that, some days, Griffin felt he could be forgiven for thinking they were getting worse.
