50/60/70 Iconic Australian Houses: Three Decades of Domestic Architecture by Karen McCartney
This book is gorgeous! It was lovely to find something celebrating Australian architecture in an accessible fashion, and nice to learn there were so many innovative and talented architects working here in the middle of last century. Any one of these houses would still be a pleasure to live in today, and while some aspects may be a little dated, the overall ideas are worth taking on board for future buildings. I've been trying to imagine what kind of a house I would like to build for myself one day and it was really hard to explain until I saw the images in this book. Now I can just point and say "I want that one"!
