I was so excited to have the opportunity to read the pre-release of The Amethyst Kingdom (TY Harper Voyager)!! I didn’t know about this series beforehand, though, so obviously I had to start at the beginning once i knew this was coming out. TBH I was kind of disappointed by the first installment. The Witches Blade was excellent, however, and I love that each book in the series follows a different main character. The books are unique, diverse, and are much better written than the first (I must say). I had to skip the third and fourth books and jump to the end but there was nothing lost in jumping around. The first and second books set up all the characters nicely and while there are some spoilers, it’s not difficult to follow if you choose to hop around. Great story and great series! I’m impressed A.K. Mulford - I will definitely pick up more of your books in the future.
