Arrogant Devil by R.S. Grey
5.0
This. Book. Read it!!
I've always been a big R.S. Grey fan. When I first came across one of her novels, I was so impressed that I ended up downloading ALL of her books and working my way through them. I've come to expect a certain level of excellence from her and she definitely does NOT disappoint in Arrogant Devil. The characters are insanely wonderful. From the moment we meet Meredith, I just completely became wrapped up in her. She is strong and witty and smart and lovely. Everything about that woman makes you want to hope and cheer for her success. I could seriously read 50 Meredith books! I also really enjoyed Jack's character. I thought there was a good balance between lovable and a-hole. Just enough drama to keep ya going, but still plenty of good vibes to keep you satisfied. I'd also like to say that I'm very impressed with how Grey handled what can be considered a sensitive topic - emotional abuse. I think it's tricky to handle a character who has been manipulated, used, and abused, but she really did such an excellent job. All of the feelings and emotions felt very real, while still allowing the character to be fierce and strong. I think it's so important that authors create characters that can be role models to girls and women who might be experiencing similar situations, and Grey did just that.
