Alex Claremont-Diaz becomes the FSOTUS after his mother wins the Presidency in 2016. At this point, his name is basically synonymous with royalty. For years Alex has had a rivalry with Prince Henry of England and it becomes an International incident when Alex and Henry knock over an expensive cake. Forced into fake friendship and public meets to save face, Alex realizes Henry isn’t as bad as he once seemed. Soon they become friends and then romantically involved, but they can not be caught. Especially with Alex’s mother up for re-election and Henry being British royalty. What will one do for true love?

Wow, this book is AMAZING. From the beginning when Alex is certain he can’t stand Henry, to them becoming friends, to Alex being confused about his sexuality, etc.— it’s just perfect. Also— the politics side of things was really interesting to me. I loved how this was basically set in an alternate timeline. I can not put all my thoughts into words. I just loved this book and will be reading again and again.
