I finished this book in one day. Okay, two if we count that I listened through the prologue on Friday night (before sleep), but the remaining 8+ hours I finished on Saturday.

I just couldn't stop. The story is fast paced, has some beautiful imagery and atmosphere on top of the unsettling and disturbing scenes. For me it wasn't so scary as people mentioned, but the fear factor is really subjective. For me personally, it was mostly very, very sad. Just so depressing and deeply sorrowful, but it is what really resonated with me, what caught me in the net of this story and kept me interested. That also means I listened through the whole novel with a feeling of being punch in a gut but I also enjoyed it completely.
